Advanced build parameters allow you to control which Spybot-S&D versions a rule will be executed on. The four build parameters currently available are:
- build
- build!
- build>
- build<
Not really build-related, but to be used in the same instances, is skipcount, which tells the scanner to skip the specified number o lines, if (and only then) a match has taken place in the same line.
Advanced build parameters are often in the same parameter field as advanced file parameters or advanced registry parameters; over these, they take precendence and are checked first, regardless of their order.
